Home
Home is the first view in the Confer window. It greets you with a reminder of your dictation shortcuts and gives you a quick overview of your recent activity:
- Recent activity. A grid of the last 18 weeks, shaded by how much you dictated each day. Hover over a day to see its date and word count.
- Usage Stats. A weekly or monthly chart of your words, along with your total words, transcriptions, and average words per transcription. It appears once you have at least five transcriptions.
- Top Prompts. Your five most used prompts.
- Recent Transcriptions. Your 15 latest transcriptions.
Each section links to its full view, such as Open Stats or Open Transcriptions.
Stats
The Stats view shows your dictation trends over time. Use the Week and Month toggle at the top to switch between the last 7 days and the last 12 months.
| Stat | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Total Words | Words across your saved transcriptions |
| Time Saved | Time saved compared with typing at 40 words per minute |
| Average WPM | How many words per minute you speak |
| Transcriptions | How many transcriptions completed |
| Words / Transcription | The average length of a transcription |
| Active Days | How many days you dictated |
Below these, the Word Activity chart shows your words over time, Top Apps lists the five apps you dictate into most, and Recent Activity shows the last 35 days.
Stats are calculated on your Mac from your saved transcriptions. Top Apps requires Track source apps, and the Stats
view is hidden when Keep transcription history is off.
