Confer ("Confer," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes, in general terms, how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you interact with our websites, products, or services (collectively, the "Services").

Information We Collect and How We Use It

We collect as little information as possible through the data required to use our service. Audio, transcriptions, prompts, and dictionaries are only stored locally on your device.

Data may be processed as follows:

• Sent through Confer’s processing infrastructure solely to fulfill your request
• Sent to third-party AI providers for processing

Confer only accesses your microphone when you explicitly initiate dictation. Confer does not record audio or process audio in the background.

If you subscribe using Apple’s in-app purchase system, Apple will process your payment, and we receive limited information such as subscription status and expiration.

Confer does not require user accounts to use the Service. We do not collect names, usernames, or passwords.

Sharing, Retention, and Security of Information

We do not sell your personal information, transcriptions, prompts, or dictionaries. We may share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as audio processing providers, and only to the extent necessary for them to perform those services. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests. Third-party providers operate under their own privacy policies, and Confer is not responsible for their practices.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices, Updates, and Contact Information

You may choose not to provide certain information to us, though doing so may limit your ability to use some features of the Services. Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information under applicable laws.
